If you or someone you care about is struggling with nail fungus infection, this article is for you.
So… what is nail fungus infection?
Nail fungus, or onychomycosis, is a condition that occurs when a microscopic fungus enters either a fingernail or toenail. This usually occurs through a small cut or break in the nail. Fungal infections occur in toenails more often than in fingernails.
The fungus (a dermatophyte) grows within the nail bed making it difficult to reach and therefore difficult to kill. To make matters worse, the protected area underneath a nail provides the perfect growing condition for dermatophytes.
A nail fungus infection causes the nail to discolor (usually yellow) and become cloudy. If the fungus is not treated quickly, the fungus may cause affected nails to thicken or become brittle and can easily spread to adjacent nails.
Prevention is better than cure
Nail fungus infection occurs due to several causes such as athlete’s foot or an injury that breached the integrity of the nails allowing fungus to penetrate. Poor hygiene, hot and humid climate can also lead to fungal infections. However, these can be avoided.
Besides giving the nail an unsightly look, nail fungus can cause discomfort or even be painful. When you visit a nail salon, observe the hygiene protocols carried out by the nail technician. The tools that are used must be sterilized and sanitized, and the pedicure basin that you soak your feet in must also be sanitized after each use.
It is very important to go to a nail salon with experienced nail technicians. Very often, we encounter customers who have nail fungus infections, especially on the toe nails, and not even aware of it. For someone who does manicure and pedicure regularly, the natural nails are usually covered by beautiful artwork other than when the polish is being removed. An experienced and professional nail technician should check the condition of each nail during the process of grooming and inform you when they discover any infections, so that it will not be left untreated.
Daily care for yourself is also important. Nail fungus thrives in warm and moist environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to water and ensure that your nails are cleaned and dried.
When you know one nail is infected, act on it immediately, as nail fungus can spread to the adjacent nails.

Tried and tested
Our commitment to our customers is that we only use and recommend products that are safe and effective. How would we know other than to test it ourselves? Hence we put this product to test and here’s the result:
Thanks to my mum, we were able to test the efficacy of FungusLess.
Her nail fungus infection was so bad that the nail had partially dislodged from the nail bed due to prolonged neglect. Note that after using FungusLess, the lunula (the half-moon shape at the base of the nail) is more defined. Lunula is part of the nail matrix, the place where each nail begins growing. This is where the new cells are made that will make up the nail. Her nail started to grow back on the nail bed as it regained a healthy lunula, thanks to the healing properties of the natural oils formulation.
The application is really simple! Just drip a drop of the solution onto the infected nail and watch the magic (white bubbles will form as it works on the fungus). The key is to be consistent in applying the solution day and night; and patience to see the results.
